It seems I am a woman of wonders, or so I am told.

( Bruce had mentioned to her the alias she'd run under in her future, even though it wasn't exactly a term that had been thrown around during her short time before the war. a wonder woman — diana can't protest too much, though she prefers her name if she is honest.

Diana smiles, though, dark eyes dusting over the cutting blue suit. it may be the color of the night (perhaps even the color of the Steve!) but it still looks well on him.
)

And you as well. I'm not sure I've seen you outside of battle fatigues.

( it's not so far from how Diana has been taught, either. well; as far as her Steve has shown her, anyway. for not the first time she compares the two — she wonders if they have met, because she suspects they'd have much in common.

unbelievably, considering what her uniform consists of, Diana nods in agreement.
) I have no protest to a party, but I feel more myself in my armor. Though this is admittedly more comfortable. ( wearing a metal bustier into battle will do that to a girl... proof she's a wonder woman, tbh

as for the dancing, she scoffs lightly, the light in her eyes giving the fact she's about to tease him away.
) Human dancing needs all the dressing it can get. You all dance very sedately, I find.

( yes, sedately. this is far more generous than her usual appraisal that modern dancing was little more than swaying close together. she's growing fonder of this style, she will confess it, yet it was nothing like the thunder and dynamic movement she remembers from home. )

We danced for emotion. To represent something important, like the stories of the gods or a celebration of life or love. Much drums, much movement, we were free and wild and thoughtless.

( when she puts it like that, it makes sense that slow dancing seems quiet in comparison. )

I would not mind learning that sort of dance, with steps and a pattern. ( it isn't exactly how she learned to dance, though, she's starting to accept that does not make it bad or lesser. just different. ) It was suggested I keep an open mind, and I am sure there is more to human dancing than I have seen. You should show me some of your steps sometime.

( Diana genuinely believes you have some moves hidden in you, Steve...... don't let her down, show her how to lindy bop! )

I have seen you move in a fight. I think your feet are more fleet than you give them credit for. ( geez. try saying that ten times fast... Diana clearly believes in Steve's dance moves, though she is the sort that believes much of just about everyone. especially those she admires. you can do it, Steve!! next contestant on So You Think You Can Dance? after someone makes up a Natha version, that is. )

Your feet do not disappoint you now, either. Mine have survived quite well, don't you think? ( they've managed a whole dance without any stubbed toes or smarting feet. )

( when she's used to flips and leaps and spins and whatever else, this is literally a cake-walk, steve... Diana has the grace not to say as much. )

I have had good teachers, I think.

( dance partners that are patient with her lack of knowledge, willing to teach what she doesn't quite know on instinct. dancing has proven to work out for both of them. )
