Well, it'll be an adventure either way, right? [She keeps looking up. They're completely unfamiliar to her. It's a little lonely.] Do you think we'll be able to go back soon? We can't do much to fight the Storm from a campsite.

[america]

I wondered the same thing. Whether we could go back.

[ Steve mentioned it once, but he was given to believe that this was a more permanent arrangement, a one-way trip. You could travel away from the Storm, but there wasn't really a way to travel back into it.

He's not sure he's ready to accept that - but it's hard not to try and be a little realistic too. ]

But I'm not sure there'll be a back to return to.

And I'm not sure what the Storm is either, whether it's something we can fight or not.

[ayes]

...yeah. From what they said... [And the brief bit she remembers] ...it's not like it's just something you can punch until it gives up.

But there's gotta be a reason we were woken up, right? Like they wouldn't go to all this trouble if there wasn't something we could do.

[america]

[ Steve hums a sound of agreement. He'd heard something similar too, and imagine his frustration knowing it's not something he can rightfully defeat the way he's used to. ]

Your guess is as good as mine. But you know what, I agree - there's a reason we're here and whatever that reason is, it should mean something. It should count for something.

[ayes]

[You sighs.] Well, I'm not gonna give up, I know that much. I feel like giving up would insult everyone back home, or back up in stasis.

[america]

[ Steve likes the cut of this girl's jib.

He nods, smiles even, approving. ]

Seems we're both in full agreement, then. Well, I won't give up if you don't.

[ayes]

Great! [There's that salute again. It seems to be some sort of habit of hers.] Then I won't give up if you don't! And I'll try to learn how to cook spaghetti, too!

[ Steve chuckles.

It might be the first time he's had any kind of a laugh all night. ]
